BEABADOOBEE FOR DAZED, 2020
Taken in a secret backroom of The 20,00 capacity O2 arena, Bea remained calm and playful as she prepared to play for arguably her biggest audience at the time.
Supporting the 1975 on their regular arena tour run at the beginning of 2020, Bea had her band and boyfriend at the time Soren to keep her company. She wandered the halls Practising her song “Apple Cider” whilst I shadowed her, capturing BTS and candid moments where I saw fit.
I told her that “Apple Cider” is my second favourite song of hers. She then replied “Oh Really? What’s your favourite then?”
I told her its the angsty ‘I Wish I Was Stephen Malkmus”.
Spending a couple of days hanging with Bea and the gang whilst shooting stills for her Dazed interview was a dream come true and a nice ending to my concert photography era.
Standing on stage infront of 20,000 people evokes a feeling I can’t really describe. The privilege of having an all access pass to one of the biggest venues in the UK is something I won’t ever forget.
