MEL BLUE
My relationship with Mel Blue began when I came across the Lead singer of the group, Oscar and his solo project Oswrld through a Spotify radio. I was blown away by how fresh the production sounded and by how little attention it had so far. I Immediately followed him on instagram and sent his music to a few friends I thought would like it.
I ended up speaking to him and it turns out he has moved to London only 2 months prior! so we quickly set up a link up. After becoming friends Oscar asked me to do a refreshed look for Mel Blue's press photos ahead of the release of their new album "Back Then".
The album has themes of nostalgia and a callback to the dance music off the 90's, we reflected that with our press photos shooting on film with vintage vignettes and vibrant colours. It was a blast to capture the boys careless and fun energy.
